Kids Camp 2025

Teen Camp 2025
Pastor Carol Myers
CACC is a very special place to our family.
Over the years attending and working the summer camps, I have made many amazing friends.
In May 2016 my dad Rev. C.L. Ruby passed to the church triumphant. He dearly loved CACC.
You could always find him either as a kids worker or somewhere in the kitchen or snack bar.
That summer kids camp the adult cabin leaders/staff and workers gathered to do a balloon launch in his memory. The love and support that was shown there are no words for.

I was first introduced to Canaan Acres Christian Camp when I was a teenager, attending the youth camp. As that time it was called Akron District Camp.
The teen camp was great - classes in the morning, sports all afternoon, and services in the evening, It was a great place to make new friends and grow spiritually.
Family Camp, which was just called Camp Meeting was also a highlight for me. We had services in a big tent, the choir was made up of teens and we listened to God’s messengers.

This is the best time I have ever had!
I never want to leave, I love it here!
Can we come back?
I wish we could come here anytime we want.
I was saved at a round alter. It was at Youth Camp and I knew God was dealing with me but I couldn’t figure it out.
I left the service that night (conviction) and went out to a shelter area. A pastor friend came out and I prayed and invited God right there on the merry go round.

I came to God in July 2019 with I was still in active addiction and Pastor Brian Daniels, was a huge inspiration on my road to a relationship with my Lord. I have been sober for 7 years of drugs and 4 years from alcohol.

I love the ministry of CACC and it’s an honor to partner with them for the Kingdom!

I have gone to Canaan Acres since I was 8 years old and I am now a counselor and bringing my own kids. The camp has helped me grow as a Christian when I was young and it made a big difference in my life. I still remember the commitments I made back then and the friendships as well. It was and still is a favorite part of my summer fun!

Going to Kids Camp at CACC gave me a place that I could always fit in and belong. The adults and other campers made it easy to make new friends.
CACC has become a place I go to be alone with Jesus. I have always had fun with my camp friends. I enjoyed spending time with my grandpap when family camp was going on. I am thankful to have grown up at CACC.

We first experienced Canaan Acres 4 1/2 years ago (2021) as ROAM volunteers (RVer’s on a Mission). We sought God to lead us to the various places we have served and returning to Canaan Acres yearly became important to us.
Working with Mike and Laura was a pleasure and we were excited to see the vision and changes they were making to make the camp successful. Working behind the scenes in the off season we didn’t see the results of their work, but we heard their stories.
Last fall, while here, God unexpectedly (as He often does) called us to move here in order to volunteer year round. We’re excited and privileged to be able to experience first hand what God is doing at Canaan Acres.

I love camp! Swimming and crafts are my favorite. I have made many friends and learned from the services too.
We have been coming to Canaan Acres when we were kids and were in the kids building learning about Jesus.
Canaan Acres has been a big part of my life. I realize that the camp has helped me to continue to grow and walk with God.
I can truly say it is a place where lives can be changed.
