From the Director’s Desk…Winter can be harsh in North East Ohio. January was a difficult month, it was unusually cold. The ground was white with snow. It made it very difficult to do anything. I spent most of my time keeping things from freezing. As I look around I see a lot of branches laying on the ground. January is over and the temperatures are up (for now) the snow is melting, it is raining, there is water laying everywhere. As I walked the grounds I began to realize that Spring is just around the corner. That means we will be cleaning up all the branches, cutting grass, making repairs, it is all a bit overwhelming and it can really stress you out, especially if you forgot why you're doing all of this. God always comes through He has a way of reminding me of the year we have had, sends people to come alongside us to help get the work accomplished, a note of encouragement in the mail, a check arrives. We have had so many volunteers some we know about and some come and go and we do not know who was here but we know someone was because a job got taken care of. Laura and I have loved working alongside so many wonderful people and know that they love this place as much as we do and God has done something special in their lives. I am also reminded that God has and is changing so many lives of those who come to camp, whether it is of those who come and work, camp or just come out to walk their dogs. It is worth all the hard work that we do here, knowing lives are being changed and transformed for God. So, winter is still upon us, but I know that God has something wonderful planned for this coming camping season, Spring is right around the corner getting ready to show new life. Pastor Mike
