It’s Your Time to Shine!Last month we focused on the needs, monetarily, specific items, and volunteers. This month is your opportunity to shine! March Silent Auction, Taco and Ice-cream Bar Last year we had over 30 donated baskets from local businesses, individuals and churches. Bids and a matching grant raised over $6000 towards the needs of the camp. We logged over 400 hours in volunteer hours. Most of the volunteer work was behind the scene, weeks before the event. Just prior, during and after the event, we had over a dozen people helping with cleaning, set-up food prep, serving, tear down, and follow-up. It’s Your Time to Shine! Are you willing and able to put up a matching grant towards the basket bids? Can you donate a basket? Ask a friend who has a business? Organize one from your church? Can you go to a local business and ask for a basket (they can promote their business with flyers and/or business cards). Are you able to help before, during or after with set-up, serving and clean-up. Can you donate food or funds towards the food. Invite your friends!
