From Laura …Today is the last day of July and I sit here on my couch, and I have sad feelings and excitement. Sad because the much-anticipated month of July has come to a close. We plan and work toward this month all year. Yes, we work hard and pray for all the other months, but July is special. It is when our district family of all ages come in and out of the grounds all month. I have said it repeatedly for the past 30 years. Canaan Acres has been set apart for a special reason, so, when we come together and celebrate all that God has done for us and seek His face, amazing things happen. This brings me to the excitement. I am so excited to see what comes out of July. God led Kids Camp in so many ways, which spilled over to Teen Camp and showed up in our last week together. Out of these camps will come God following leaders, preachers, missionaries, parents, teachers, and world leaders. They will remember their time with us here at CACC, they will look at the commitments they made, it will help them through tough times, and remind them of their roles in life and help keep them in their faith. We as a camp and a district are a part of that plan. We get the privilege of helping them grow and to nurture those calls God has placed on their hearts. I am excited to see how July is going to change the local churches, the district, and the world around us, all because we invested in the camp and the souls who entered it.
