Here we are once again at the end of a month that went by amazingly fast. In October, we started the month off with missionaries staying in our Swonger cottage, as well as a guest family staying in the Tabernacle cottage.

As the month continued:

• We had several rotting trees removed

• We had a very productive camp board meeting

• We helped with the Fundraiser dinner with NYI for Larry Ritterbeck

• The month has been busy taking in boats, RVs, and cars coming in for winter storage

  And we ended our month with a bang…

  Trunk or Treat!

We have said many times that C.A.C.C.'s ministry is not limited to a place to camp. We see it every day, as neighbors have found it to be a safe and peaceful place to go for a walk. Then there are the people calling, looking for a place to camp, pastors needing a few days of reflection, or missionaries needing a place of respite for a few days or a couple of weeks. We also organize various outreach endeavors, including the annual Trunk or Treat, Caravan, and Fall Extravaganza. Ultimately, we are providing a safe and fun place for families to enjoy quality time together and experience God’s presence.

Trunk or Treat Highlights

Our local community came out to enjoy all we had to offer. The gospel message was in everything we did, along with crafts, games, and lots of treats and treasures. Our count was at least 150 that came through the camp. Many of them had questions about the camp and Caravan. Among those who attended were familiar faces who had been to the camp either walking through it or attending an event.

Benefit Dinner

On October 18, 2025, the District NYI and CACC worked together with District Churches to support Larry Ritterbeck and his family. Larry suffered a stroke this summer and has not been able to work these past several months. It was a privilege to work alongside the NYI to help pull off a wonderful event to help the Ritterbecks.

Larry is a board member of the camp, the District NYI President, a leader in his local church, a husband, a father, but mostly he is a man of God. He loves the Lord, and he is the first person to say, “I will help.” “How can I help?” “When do you need help?”  We, as a camp, want to express our thanks to all those who came out to help, prepared months in advance, set up, cleaned up, and made this a successful event.

As an added plug, if you enjoyed the lasagna dinner, you could have it again at Teen Camp and Family Camp. You cannot get it anywhere else but here, handmade by Pastor Cassy Wynn.
